This bonnet is knit from a plush yarn with a core of pima cotton and a fine alpaca loft giving it a satisfyingly fluffy texture. The curved edges of the hood end in a delicate point at the nape of the wearer's neck. The alpaca keeps this hood warm on cold days, but the delicate loft of the yarn prevents it from feeling too heavy.
I layer knit bonnets or kerchiefs under a scarf on wet or snowy days for that extra layer of keeping my head dry and warm. And yes, I still pull my hood up, too.
